Semta’s reviews of the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and N/SVQ qualification structures for Performing Engineering Operations and Fabrication and Welding Engineering have been extended until 30 September 2011.
The NOS set out the skills, knowledge and understanding required to undertake a particular task or job role to a nationally recognised level of competence, helping formalise training requirements for employers and employees across the UK. Contributing to the reviews will ensure that these standards, and Semta’s engineering Apprenticeship frameworks, continue to reflect the needs of employers.
